At Palmetto Dental Associates, we are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality care and encourage you to take an active role in your treatment. To help maintain clear and open communication, we ask that you review the financial policies outlined below.
Terms of Payment
For patients without dental insurance, payment is due at the time services are rendered. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, cash, and personal checks (no post-dated checks).
Payment arrangements for extensive or large-scale treatment are available; however, these must be made in advance of the scheduled procedure.
For your convenience, we also offer financing through CareCredit.
Insurance
Patients with dental insurance must provide a current copy of their insurance card to ensure claims are submitted accurately.
While we are not a preferred provider for any insurance plans, we will file claims on your behalf as a courtesy (excluding Medicare and Medicaid.)
Please note that insurance coverage is a contract between the patient and their insurance provider. Any portion not covered by insurance is the patient’s responsibility, and the remaining balance is due on the day services are rendered.
Failed Appointment Policy
To help us provide the highest quality care to all of our patients, we kindly request at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment changes or cancellations. This allows us to offer the reserved time to another patient in need. Appointments cancelled or missed without at least 24 hours’ notice will be subject to the following fees:
$25 for hygiene appointments
$75 for doctor appointments
If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, a reservation fee may be required before scheduling a future visit. This fee will be applied to your next visit; however, if you do not show for that appointment, it will be applied as a broken appointment fee. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
