About Implants...

When a tooth breaks or decays beyond repair and has to be removed, the ideal treatment would be to replace it with another tooth. Since we are not yet at the point where we can grow a new tooth, the next best thing is to replace it with "a tooth" made out of titanium and porcelain. First, a Cone Beam CT scan is completed to make sure there is enough bone height and width. If so, a small titanium screw is placed in the bone and, after integrating and healing, an abutment and porcelain crown are permanently put on top. Implants are a wonderful treatment option that allow us to leave the adjacent teeth untouched.
